Christmas Escape Rooms In Calgary
Oh, Christmas! It's finally the time of the year when all your wishes come true. Presents, decorations, food, music, and Christmas movies - no wonder so many people consider it their favorite holiday.
While spending time with family is indeed one of the important things in our lives, you don't have to stay at home! Of course, watching a movie about Grinch or Home Alone is a must, but there are many other fun things for families to do out there - even if it's freezing cold outside.
Of course, the first thing that pops up in everyone's mind is to go to the mall - after all, who doesn't want the best boxing day deals out there? However, most of us usually regret it after getting to the mall - too many people and no parking!
If you want to spend quality time with your family, why not try Escape60? It's a fantastic locked room establishment for friends and families! And the best part of it - you can win without working together as a team! Escape60 features the most authentic and escape rooms in Calgary. Let's take a look at the most popular ones - we'll promise you'll feel the Christmas spirit with us (we'll make sure you'll have a cup of Eggnog or coffee with Baileys at our lounge)!
Alright, let's take a look at our escape rooms now!
1) Wizardry and The Wizard Tournament
If your family loves wizard books and movies , make sure to check out this magical wizard themed escape room. Perfect for groups of 4 to 8 people, the entire family can participate! And if someone doesn't want to, they can have a coffee or a drink at the Escape60 lounge.
The baseline of the story revolves around the well-known Wizard Tournament, where schools compete for the Wizard cup in a series of magic challenges. After you've won 2 of
them, you have to find the cup that your professor's hidden somewhere, without the use of magic wands (that's a bummer, but rules are rules). Luckily, the old man has left clues behind.
If your eyes and mind are sharp, you'll have no problem finding your way to the cup. But get distracted for a minute, and you may end up losing yourself along the way! With a 30% escape rate, you'll have to work as a team to win. If you want to celebrate after you've escaped (or didn't escape, it's all about having fun, right?), try our own version of liquid luck shots and butter ripple beer!
2) Wizardry and The Hunt For Dark Lord
If someone in your group of friends (or maybe your entire family) is a big fan of escape rooms, you can try the hardest room we have - with only 1 team out of every 5 escaping the locked room on time.
The story of this room is as intriguing as the previous one, if not more. The School of Magic is under the attack of the dark lord, who's stolen everyone's wands. While all the students are ordered to go home and leave the battle up to the teachers, your group decides to disobey.
After all, there must be a way to defeat the evil everyone's overlooked in the Institute of Magic. Without magic wands, your logic, intelligence, and problem-solving skills are the only things you can use to save everyone!
We can assure you - you'll have a ton of fun trying to escape from this locked room!
3) The Most Dangerous Game
What if you have a group of 10 people? All of a sudden even uncle Edd who loves his Christmas movies decided he wanted to join you. In this case, we are offering the biggest escape room in our arsenal, The Most Dangerous Game.
The story of this room is also quite interesting. A few passengers aboard a yacht have been shipwrecked on a tiny island of a rich hunter. He's hunted the animals all over the world and doesn't find it fun anymore. What if there was more intelligent pray that's a lot more fun to hunt? Oh yeah, humans. You've been thrown to jail until your time comes.
Sickened by his ideas, his staff decides to help you, but with one condition - they'll join you. They also tell you the story of 2 prisoners who escaped the jail before - and they were kind enough to leave some clues for the future captives. While the mad hunter's gone for an hour, you have to move - your life's on the line!
Based on the short story from 1924, you'll get the best adrenaline rush - we promise you that.
4) Don Pablo
If you don't have kids coming with you to the escape room, you should definitely try Don Pablo. It's not especially hard or anything, but it does feature some coarse language and subjects.
After all, the backstory of this room is nothing else but the drug cartels and drugs smuggling. And your group acts as a team of journalists. After you've trailed the suspects to a safe house where they store drugs, guns, and money, you have to get in and find the answers.
Luckily for you, the guard just left, and the next one is coming in an hour. All you have to do is get in, find the evidence, and expose the so-called Don Pablo (you might have an idea who the drug lord is, but you need some proof).
While not the hardest room, it's definitely one of the most graphic escape rooms for the mature audience. However, I wouldn't take it off your list of Christmas escape rooms - it's worth it!
By the way, Escape60 establishment comes with tons of free parking - if that's what you are worried during the Christmas holidays, worry no longer!
