What is an Escape Room Game?

Hey YYC, allow us to formally introduce yourselves to you in our first

ever blog post! We are Escape60. What does Escape60 stand for

you might be asking?

We are Alberta’s first and only luxury escape room. Escape60 stands

for 60 minutes to escape from one of our themed escape rooms.

What is an escape room you ask?

An escape room, also known as an escape game; is a physical

adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles and

riddles using clues, hints, and strategy to complete the objectives at

hand. The ultimate goal is to solve all the challenges laid out for you

so you can unlock the room and escape!

Escape rooms are a great way to spend time with friends and family

or even your co-workers. At Escape60 our rooms are designed for

anywhere from 4-12 players depending on the room you choose to

play! We currently have 4 different escape rooms for you to choose

from.

All of our rooms were built with great detail and care to take your

experience to the next level. Offering you an escape room experience

unlike you have ever seen before. We have 4 themes to choose from

currently with 3 new rooms opening later this year!

We have our Hero’s Hideout room which is great for our downtown

corporate groups! This room is themed around working an office job

in downtown Calgary when your work day takes an interesting turn!

You receive an email from the CEO at your company inviting you to

join a group of people with very specific skills. You accept his

invitation not knowing what to expect and you could have never

prepared yourself for what happens next!

The Most Dangerous Game

The Most Dangerous Game in this room the hunters become the hunted in a turn of events. You and your fellow shipmates aboard a yacht have crash-landed upon the island of a wealthy big-game hunter. Taken to his mansion by his staff, you are immediately placed into prison cells. You’re informed that the hunter is no longer challenged by his normal prey, and has decided that the next target for his collection will be that of the human variety. Will you get out alive!

Don Pablo in this room we take you back in time to 1975 when Pablo

Escobar was at the top of his game! The year is 1975. A drug cartel

has emerged in the town of Medellin, Colombia that smuggles

cocaine to neighbouring countries as well as the United States. As an

investigative journalist, your editor has sent you on the task to find the

man behind it all and reveal his identity to the world. Despite having a

preconceived idea on the person’s identity, journalism is about the

truth and proof to support it! Previously you’ve trailed who you

suspected were members of this “Medellin Cartel” to a safe house

they use to store and distribute their drugs. Can you break out of the

drug ring in just 60 minutes?

Wizardry and the Hunt for the Dark Lord this room is inspired by escape room, Wizard

themed and is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. This

room transports you into a magical world and you need to make your

way through potions and spells and make your way out! This room

books up very quickly so if you were hoping to get your group in then

make sure to book now! (link to book should be input as hyperlink

We recently added Butter Ripple Rootbeer to our menu so that you can sit back in

our lounge and enjoy your very own drink before or after your

game!

We are located in downtown Calgary which puts us in the perfect location for all your corporate team building activities. Big or small we are set up to accommodate your private group for anything from a night out with friends to anything you might need a luxury private event space for. Our lounge area is beautifully designed for your comfort, contains a fully stocked bar and has a number of different catering options available!
