We are a local business started by two brothers with one main vision - to have fun. We wanted to create a locked room business & work environment where enjoyment was a top priority. We are about working with good people, creating lasting memories & supporting local business in Calgary. We look to raise the bar for the escape room industry by creating a new consumer experience.

Our mission is to create an innovative corporate team building atmosphere where the social experience meets a live escape room adventure. We welcome a sophisticated audience, with live action gaming designed to challenge escape room enthusiasts but still appropriate for any level of player. Also, we specialize in creating the accommodating all special occasions.

Authentic experience - our locked room Calgary location consists of high-quality craftsmanship & modern technology that simulates a real life experience within 60 minutes. This commitment sets us apart from the competition. The objective is to stimulate 4 key senses: sight, touch, smell, and sound.

Professional atmosphere - for functions & entertaining we offer a lounge area including a wet bar. We can accommodate special events such as lunch & learns, birthdays, office/private parties, networking and after-hours mixers.

Live escape rooms/virtual - we offer unique escape games that are all made in house and are custom built. We currently have eleven live escape rooms that guests can book: 4 wizardry themed rooms, Don Pablo/Kings, Return of the force, Prank Dwight, Best Friends, Infinity Hunt, & Jurassic era themed. Each escape room game has a different back story, objective, setting, and feel. We have expanded our games by now offering two online experiences: World's Best Boss & Ramaannji.

Accessibility - we are equipped with 26 parking stalls, free street parking, located next to the Sunalta C-Train Station near Downtown. This makes us a great option for businesses or large groups without having the worry of finding or paying for parking - We all know how dreadful it can be to park in downtown! As our guests we want you to have the best escape room Calgary downtown experience possible.

Beer, wine, spirits, & speciality drinks - Which escape room can offer you real life escape rooms and a drink? - no one except Escape60! We are the only escape room in Calgary that offers the sale of alcohol with a full service wet bar & lounge area. Enjoy a drink before or after game play as we have a wide selection of beer, wine & spirits. Having a beverage socially is a great way to enhance the overall experience. Also, we offer both alcoholic & non alcoholic themed drinks.

THINGS TO DO IN CALGARY DOWNTOWN & REVIEWS

If you are looking for something to do, a challenge, date night ideas or looking to have a family day with loved ones or with friends - any level of experience is welcomed. As a result, customers that have reviewed us on platforms such as Google, yelp, facebook, & trip advisor have quickly made us one of the leaders in the industry - one of the top rated trapped Calgary escape rooms in Alberta. We will make sure you have a great time and even take a photo to capture the moment. Another bonus is we are located in between 17th ave and Kensington so after the escape room finishes you always have the option of doing an activity nearby as well.

First time doing a locked room or breakout games? don't worry we got you covered!

First time doing an escape room? Don't know what to expect? No worries we have you covered! Here is the breakdown of how it works:

STEP 1: arrive at least 20 minutes before the start time. We will greet you and take your personal items (cell phones, purses, bags, wallets, keys) and securely lock them up in one of onsite lockers. Yes we have free on site lockers for your belongings. Then before the locked room begins we will ask you would you like something to drink? As you wait help please relax in our lounge area.

STEP 2: online waiver, locked room safety video, & Instruction. When all members of your group arrives, we will begin with an online waiver and locked room safety video. Then we follow up with an audio clip/video clip of the themed escape room that you will be playing. We wrap it up with a quick briefing and explanation of what to expect in the room, ie lock types, obstacles, rules etc - thereafter you begin your live escape room where your group is locked in a room! Don't worry there are safety keys for each room so you may leave at any time to go to the bathroom or if you just need a quick break.

STEP 3: live Escape room, hints, Clues, & Encouragement. All our experiences are designed for 60 minutes or more depending on the room you have selected. If you get stuck on a puzzle - we provide unlimited clues throughout the experience. We believe progression is important. Unlike other escape rooms we wont give you the answer but we want to place you in a position to succeed. We have a designated game master/host watching and listening to provide feedback if/when necessary. Communication & encouragement between the Escape60 staff and your group is done via walkie-talkie. This allows for instant help when ever you need. If your group gets behind pace and time is running out we will prompt your group by asking, "Would you like a clue."

Steps 4: Escaping, debrief, congratulations, & pictures After you have completed your experience we debrief how it went with respect to solving all the puzzles, go through any questions you may have and ask if you would like to do group pictures. We have many customers that are first timers - doing an escape room for the first time is very normal, we understand what it's like to try something new, thinking about the excitement and being a bit nervous not knowing what to expect. We are here to help and make the first time memorable!
